Palsgaard

Palsgaard company is a Danish manufacturer of functional additives for bakery, chocolate, ice-cream and other.

Company's history began in 1919, when Einar Viggo Schou founded EMULSION A/S, first in the world to specialise in production of emulsifiers for the food industry.

Einar Viggo Schou introduced many innovations for food industry, but the most important was the first industrially produced emulsifier Palsgaard Emulsion Oil (PEO), which held a virtual monopoly for decades.

Emulsifiers and stabilizers manufactured by Palsgaard are wide and well know for their high quality and up-to-standard character.

Compared to the ways international conglomerates normally evolve, Palsgaard is unique. It is owned by the Schou Foundation whose primary objective is a commitment to research and to the preservation, protection and development of the company and the brand.
